Opio, a man with a pot belly and no shoes, resides in a doorless, poorly furnished house that often evokes tears from visitors. Yet, despite his circumstances, Opio has embraced his responsibilities as an adult. His home may lack basic amenities, but it serves as a place of rest where he strives to make ends meet.
When Opio spotted JFM approaching, he hurriedly grabbed a basket and rushed to collect some food relief. With compassionate eyes, he patiently shared with JFM how he had managed to alleviate his hunger that day. On fortunate occasions, when there are leftovers from communal meals, such as those served during funerals, Opio can find something to eat. However, such events are infrequent. In the villages, there are numerous impoverished children whose parentage is unknown.
It is not uncommon to encounter women struggling to care for their children, unable to provide information about their husbands. One might infer that these women became pregnant after an unknown individual had sexual relations with them, leaving them to bear the burden of suffering children.
We express our gratitude to JFM for consistently stepping in whenever there is a need like this. Through their actions, they provide hope to the hopeless and extend love to those who feel lonely.
