If you remember, we built a house for four orphans. Finally, they have moved in. Here is a short bio on each boy.
The following is written by Ignatius Sseremba, guardian
NAME: SSENTUMBWE EMMANUEL
AGE: 10 YEARS
GENDER: MALE
NATIONALITY: UGANDAN
RELIGION: BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN.
Emma stays in the next village, so he often comes to church. Every time I have met Emma, he’s told me he’s hungry. And since we have a food program running, that was sorted. Emma lost his father when he was ten months old, then his mother married another man, a mother who also later died. This man never cared for children that weren’t HIS, So Emma is left out in most things. I felt touched by his life, and since JFM built aside a lovely home, Emma has a bed now right here; he loves the place.
Emma is such a nice boy, I love him. He knows a little English, he loves school. He’s learning to do some housework. Am realizing he needs to be going to school. And he loves Jesus so much. He plays a specific drum in the church orchestra.
NAME: KASIRYE ALI
AGE: 8 YEARS
GENDER: MALE
NATIONALITY: UGANDAN
Ali has been staying with his poor mother in a very run-down house near the church neighborhood, so this boy comes to the church daily for food. This is the only reason he comes to church; he has a few pairs of clothes, I think two pairs, and he walks with his barefoot most of the time. This boy has starved most of his time. So I brought him to stay at the beautiful home that jfm set aside for them, so he will stay here from now on.
He comes from a Muslim background; he told me on Sunday he wants to give his life to Jesus, I said OKAY. So his life is changed. Am working so hard about him on his behavioral change since he was raised in a hard life setting. He needs to go to school to cope with the world. Am so happy this boy is so calm and respectful.
NAME: MUKIIBI EMILLY
AGE: 9 YEARS
GENDER: MALE
NATIONALITY: UGANDAN
RELIGION: BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN.
I met Emmy in the lake Kyoga area in December 2021, I was arranging lights and putting up a tent where I was to spend a night, and this boy was putting on torn clothes and walking in barefoot, I asked if he goes to school and he said NO, this boy insisted helping me hold the torch while I was setting up everything, so as I came home, the Lord told me to bring this boy home, I went back in the Kyoga area, and I brought the boy, he’s been staying at my place for almost a year now until JFM set aside a very nice house for them where he’s now staying.
Being an orphan, I told him to trust God.
Emmy sings in a church children’s choir and is so hard-working.
He goes to public school where I pay a little money.
He walks a long distance to reach his school, but he loves school, and so he loves God.
NAME: KIKOMEKO AKAYAH
AGE:6 YEARS
GENDER: MALE
NATIONALITY: UGANDAN
Akayah is a brother to Ali, and he has been staying with his poor mother in a very run-down house in the church neighborhood, just near, so this boy comes every day to church for food. He lost his father, and he doesn’t go to school; he keeps the house as his mother goes to look for what to eat, so most of the time, he comes to church for food. He has a single pair of clothes and no shoes at all.
He comes from a Muslim background. Am working so hard about him on his behavioral change since he was raised in a hard life setting. Akayah is an introvert, so calm. He told me he had never slept on a mattress before. He needs to go to school. He will also give his life to Jesus soon, according to how I see his future.
