My name is Mark Brian Kimera, also known as Mark B K. I am blessed to be married to my beautiful wife, Grace, and by God’s grace we have walked this journey together for 18 years.
For a long time, God placed a deep love for children in our hearts. In 2009, we took a step of faith and began helping one child. From that small beginning, God has allowed us to reach many children. However, because of limited space in our home and government restrictions, we could not keep them all with us. Many are now under the care of guardians.
By God’s wisdom and guidance, I went to a village called Kasanje, where I met an elderly couple. I asked them if they could open their humble home and care for these children. Despite their age and challenges, they accepted with love. Since then, whenever we receive a child, we take them there. Today, we have 15 children under our care.
Life has not been easy. We struggle daily to provide food, clothing, medical care, and education. Yet through every hardship, God has sustained us. It is only by His hand that we continue moving forward. One of our greatest challenges has been access to water. The well is very far, and this brought us unimaginable pain.
Last year, we lost one of our precious children. She had gone to fetch water, but she was kidnapped and tragically killed. This broke our hearts in a way words cannot describe. Out of that pain, a vision was born—to build a 2000-liter water tank so we could collect rainwater and keep our children safe. We prayed, we fasted, and we cried out to God for this miracle. And God answered. Today, the 2000-liter water tank is installed. We now wait for the rain to fill it with clean water. Though it may seem small to others, to us it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness. HalleluYah! God has provided.
Now, our children will have water close to home. They will be safer. If you look at the pictures, you will see the tank and the beautiful faces of the children whose lives are being changed. We are deeply grateful to God for everything He has done.
As we continue trusting Him, we are now praying for double-decker beds for the children, so they can sleep better and more comfortably. With all my heart, I want to say thank you to Papa Bill for your love and support on this project, and to the JesusFedMe ministry for standing with us. Your kindness is making a real difference in these children’s lives.
May God bless you abundantly.
Mark B K.
