Again today was a blessing at JesusFedMe as we came across an elderly man, Mr. Gaayi, who lives alone in a muddy house. He was involved in a road traffic accident one month ago and got a soft tissue injury. He used hard wooden clutches and could not reach the hospital, which was far.
Today JesusFedMe brought a smile to his face when we gave him new comfortable clutches, food, soap, a gospel tract, and cleared his medical bill. On investigations, we found out that he has osteoporosis (a condition in which bones become weak and brittle). The body constantly absorbs and replaces bone tissue. With osteoporosis, new bone creation doesn’t keep up with old bone removal. So it’s lifelong; we taught him dietary modification and weight-bearing exercises to prevent bone loss or strengthen already weak bones. His life has not remained the same.
