As the outreach continued, JFM team members sat down to speak with some of the elders of the community. It was during one of these heartfelt conversations that they received sad news: Granny Hadijah, a beloved figure in the community, had passed away at the age of 69. This touched the hearts of the JFM team deeply, as they remembered how, during one of their first outreach visits, they had prayed with Granny Hadijah and led her to accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Knowing that she had made peace with God brought both sorrow and joy to the team’s hearts—sorrow for her passing, but joy in the assurance that she is now with the Lord.
JFM’s mission has always been twofold: to feed the hungry and to share the gospel. Each time they return to a place like this landing site, they see firsthand the power of God’s love at work—not only filling empty stomachs but touching souls. The children’s booklets are a simple but powerful tool, sparking conversations about Jesus and planting seeds of faith in young hearts. Every meal served and every prayer offered is a reminder that these communities are not forgotten by God.
We give thanks to God for the faithful donors who make this ministry possible. Without their generosity, JFM could not reach these precious people with both physical nourishment and the Bread of Life. As we remember Granny Hadijah’s life and celebrate her salvation, we are reminded that every outreach, every gift, and every conversation has eternal value. May God continue to bless JFM’s work as they bring hope, love, and the gospel to the most vulnerable among us.
