JFM carried out a door-to-door evangelism outreach that opened our eyes to a heartbreaking reality. As we visited one home after another, we found countless children with no clothes to wear. Some were completely naked, while others tried to cover themselves with torn pieces of fabric that could hardly be called clothing. It was a painful sight that words can barely describe. One question kept coming to our minds: How can a child grow from birth to ten years old without ever owning a proper set of clothes? Even more heartbreaking was finding families where, despite older children having nothing to wear, another baby had been born into the same situation. It is difficult to understand such circumstances, and we cannot pretend to know every reason behind them. Poverty can leave families with impossible choices. Instead of judging the parents, the JFM team chose to respond with compassion. We shared the love of Christ, preached the Gospel, prayed with every willing family, and reminded them that God has not forgotten them. The message of hope was just as important as the practical help we brought. After sharing the Gospel, we distributed clothes to every child we found in each home. No child was left behind. Watching children receive their very first decent outfit was deeply moving. Their smiles told stories that words could never fully express. Whenever possible, we also gave each child two or three extra sets of clothes. This was important because many of them had nothing else to change into. Having extra clothes meant they could stay cleaner, healthier, and experience a small measure of dignity that every child deserves. The joy on the faces of both the children and their parents was unforgettable. Mothers and fathers expressed heartfelt gratitude, s because they had long prayed for help but never imagined someone would come directly to their homes. Door-to-door evangelism is more than preaching—it is demonstrating the love of Jesus in practical ways. When people see that Christ’s followers genuinely care about their physical needs as well as their spiritual lives, hearts become open to the saving message of the Gospel. JFM remains committed to reaching the forgotten, feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. Every child deserves dignity, every family deserves hope, and every person deserves the opportunity to hear the Gospel. By God’s grace, we will continue going from door to door until as many lives as possible have been touched with both love and hope.
Saba Mathiew: I was born and raised in Uganda, where my journey of learning and service began. I attended Galikwoleka Nursery School, where a strong foundation for my academic life was laid. I later participated in New Eden Christian Primary School for my primary education, a place that nurtured both my character and my love of learning.
For my secondary education, I joined Agape High School, where I completed my Ordinary Level studies. I later advanced to C.T.R, where I completed my Advanced Level education. These years shaped my discipline, resilience, and passion for communication and service.
I pursued higher education at Ndejje University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. My university training equipped me with strong skills in writing, communication, storytelling, and media engagement, which I continue to apply in my professional life.
Currently, I am employed at JesusFedMe.com (JFM) as a Logistics Specialist and Article Author. In this role, I support the coordination of ministry activities while also writing impactful stories that reflect the mission, compassion, and work of JFM. Additionally, I serve as a translator for JFM, proficient in Luganda, Kiswahili, and English, helping bridge language gaps and ensure clear communication with the communities we serve.
Through my work, I remain committed to service, communication, and supporting the mission of transforming lives through love, compassion, and faith.
