The day 29th March 2021 is the day I can only forget if Jesus comes now to take me back to heaven. Many of us received a shocking message from Phill that we were all expelled from accessing his premises where we used to lay our heads. One could quickly tell what had happened because many had no answer.
Some of my brothers who had well-established homes returned to their parents, unlike people experiencing poverty who had nowhere to go.
This was the most challenging time of my existence at the age of 26, with no job, nowhere to call my home and nothing that was how life was.
Battling with my thoughts under a big tree, wondering what was next, the spirit of the Lord made me call Papa Bill, and I shared what exactly happened. Papa Bill wouldn’t accept it, but it was the truth. It was at such time that i learned how people can avoid poor people.
A torrent of comments trickled in on social media, and many people reshared stories about what happened to us.
You will forgive me, our readers. This is not human worship but its hypocrisy not to honor someone who saved you from tragedy. Papa Bill rented me a small house and started caring for me when I had no hope of help. I was like bones, and the bones gained flesh by his care.
God used Papa Bill in whatever he did to rescue me from that moment; right now, God is using us to feed hungry people and to preach the gospel to those in a situation that is not good.
William J. Wegener (Bill) is the founder and director of JesusFedMe.com, a ministry with a simple yet powerful mission: to feed the hungry, share the gospel of JESUS CHRIST, and transform lives in Uganda. Bill believes that meeting both physical and spiritual needs is the best way to reflect the love of GOD, and through JFM, countless lives have been touched.
Under his leadership, JesusFedMe.com has:
Delivered food daily to poor families and orphans. | Dug wells to provide clean water to villages. | Built homes and resource centers for struggling communities. |. Established the Miracle Medical Center (MMC) in Nakaseke District, providing medical care where none was available. |. Launched the CVTI Skilling Center, offering vocational training and hope for the future.
Bill’s heart for the poor flows from the words of JESUS in Matthew 25:35: “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.” He often says that every bag of rice delivered, every child clothed, and every prayer offered is a reminder that GOD’s love is real and practical.
None of this would be possible without faithful donors who give generously. Bill sees himself not just as a director, but as a steward—ensuring that every dollar makes a difference in feeding the hungry and leading souls to CHRIST. His vision is to see communities in Uganda transformed, both physically and spiritually, through the power of the gospel and the kindness of those who support the work.
