Beyond reasonable doubt, we believe Jesus has used the health sector to save many and reach out to countless individuals. If we narrate stories on how Jesus has touched souls through JFM by promoting health, we can run out of words!
Similarly, we want to move forward with this exciting initiative. This is possible with the help of many of the unnamed lovers of Christ and the gospel.
Through Miracle Medical Center, we hope mothers won’t deliver on the roadside anymore, abortions will be reduced to minimum/zero levels (MMC will not do abortions), and HIV, malaria, and many epidemiological conditions will be screened and treated; palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a severe illness, such as cancer or heart failure. Patients in palliative care may receive medical care for their symptoms or palliative care, along with treatment to cure their serious illness. This will all be at MMC.
During sickness, most locals remember to return to God, seeing him as the only way to survive this state. We shall use this opportunity to love, care for, and preach to them to return to Jesus because we believe he’s coming back soon!
Pediatric care services will also be available, as we know children are tomorrow’s generation; even Jesus Himself said, let the little children come to me; a healthier mind is a happier soul! Their services will include malaria screening under five years, immunization, treatment of respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, rhinitis, tonsillitis, and pharyngitis, and screening for congenital abnormalities like cleft lip, cleft palate, clubfoot, Spina bifida, etc., to arrange for appropriate referral.
Medical camps and outreach will enable us to reach faraway communities. Health education will be part of this intervention as it involves primary health care. Here, mosquito nets can be emphasized and distributed to curb the rising malaria cases in Uganda today.
Pharmacy: The central pharmacy for MMC will act as the dispensary and storage for all medicines. Its strategic location in the MMC building suits its purpose.
Update: Currently, we are done with roofing and working on walls, ceilings, electric wire, and water installation. We still believe that God will provide, as he has always done, for the tiles, pavers, glasses, paint, and a pit latrine. We shall get there with faith and patience!
Thank you to all who have laid brick, stone, sand, cement, or anything in the form of monitoring support. May our Lord richly bless you!
