Many people postpone helping others because they believe they first need to become wealthy. They tell themselves that one day, when they have enough money, they will start giving. However, God’s way is different. He does not ask us to wait for abundance; He asks us to be faithful with whatever we have today.
The truth is that you do not need to have much to bless someone. A meal, a pair of shoes, a school book, a kind word, or even a prayer can transform a person’s day and restore hope. Sometimes, the smallest gift carries the greatest impact.
At JesusFedMe (JFM), we have learned not to wait until we have everything in place before serving others. Every day, there are hungry people, vulnerable children, and broken families who cannot afford to wait. We simply use what God has provided and trust Him to do the rest.
Jesus demonstrated this principle when He fed thousands of people with five loaves and two fish. What seemed insignificant in human eyes became more than enough in God’s hands. God specializes in multiplying small offerings that are given with a sincere heart.
The Bible says in John 6:9 (KJV), “There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?” Yet those few loaves and fish fed a multitude because they were surrendered to Jesus.
The Bible also says in 2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV), “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” God is not impressed by the size of our gift but by the condition of our hearts.
Another powerful reminder is found in Proverbs 19:17 (KJV): “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Every act of kindness done for the needy is seen by God, and He never forgets those who give generously.
At JFM, we choose action over waiting. We feed the hungry, clothe children, pray with people, and share the Gospel without waiting to become rich. We believe that if everyone gave a little, many lives would be changed. Do not wait until you have much—start today with what you have, and God will multiply it for His glory.
