Greetings beloved,
I’m excited to share some updates about our children’s academic progress at Mashariki. Our journey began with a simple act of faith when we took on the role of parents to a group of children. Initially, we aimed to provide them with basic food, but we soon realized they needed more—a future where they could thrive independently. It’s been two years now, and we’ve made significant progress.
At this time of year, which we refer to as the third semester, students return to school to complete the academic year. This semester is crucial as it’s a promotion period where students advance to higher grades. I’m thrilled to report that many of our children are enrolled in our tuition program. We’ve sent them back to their respective schools fully equipped with backpacks, geometry sets, and all the necessary educational materials.
Beyond providing care at home, we’re committed to nurturing these children to become future leaders—God-fearing individuals who will guide the next generation in a way that honors GOD. To support their spiritual growth, we’ve also established a fellowship at the children’s home, where the local community is actively involved.
Our children are happy and thriving in their studies. They attend evening prep sessions in their rooms, do laundry, and enjoy playtime after their chores. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our beloved director, Mr. Bill Wegener, for his ongoing prayers and support, which have been instrumental in implementing these programs. I also want to extend my gratitude to our generous donors at JFM. Wherever you are, we bless you, and we love you.
Shalom!
