At JFM, our mission has always been centered on extending Christ’s love through feeding the hungry and offering spiritual help. In recent years, a particular focus has grown within our ministry—caring for older adults, many of whom have been abandoned, neglected, or forgotten by society. These individuals, often between 60 and 80 years old, find themselves in the most vulnerable circumstances. In many cases, they have no one to turn to, as family members may have deserted them, leaving them to face hunger, loneliness, and hopelessness.
These older adults have lived long lives and endured countless hardships, yet they often find themselves cast aside at the time they need care the most. The pain of being forgotten is unimaginable, but JFM has sought to bring healing in the form of love, care, and sustenance. By God’s grace, we have been able to arrive just in time—time and time again—to provide food, comfort, and the hope of Christ to those who felt utterly helpless.
This journey of service has not been an easy one, but it has been incredibly fulfilling. We have seen firsthand the transformative power of kindness, especially in the lives of the elderly. From helping an older adult who hadn’t eaten in days to praying with someone who thought all hope was lost, the impact has been profound. Each time we show up with food, the joy and relief on their faces is a reminder of why we do this work. It has become our duty, our calling, to ensure that they do not go to bed hungry, and that they know they are valued, seen, and loved by God.
We also take this moment to give a heartfelt salute to the donors who make this mission possible. Without your generosity, many lives would have been lost. Your kindness is more than just financial support—it is life-saving. It is a testament to the compassion that exists in the body of Christ. Because of you, we are able to rescue the abandoned and give hope where there was none.
As we continue this journey, we are reminded of the words of Psalm 71:9 (KJV): “Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.” JFM is committed to ensuring that no older adult is forsaken, and we thank all those who have stood by us in this mission. Together, we are making a difference—one meal, one prayer, and one life at a time.
God bless donors
