Greetings, beloved,
Written by Ignatious Sseremba, Director of Mashariki Childrens Home
It has been a while since we last visited these precious grannies, but I’m excited to share that we recently had the opportunity to return to them. During our visits, we follow up with new believers and those who have strayed, offering encouragement and guidance on living a faithful Christian life. We discuss the importance of walking with GOD, thinking positively, and preparing ourselves to meet Him. We also focus on enhancing their quality of life and encouraging personal hygiene and sanitation within their communities.
The joy on their faces when they saw us was incredible. These ladies live in extreme poverty and famine, and we have become a reliable source of hope for them. The food we provide will sustain them for a while. One particular granny received a mattress and a newly constructed toilet from us and multiple visits to check on her well-being. She is overjoyed with the new toilet but is now facing another challenge—a leaking roof in her mud house. The entire interior, including her bed, becomes wet and cold during the rainy season. I pray that we can help fix this situation soon.
It is always a blessing to be part of these outreaches, sharing the love of Jesus and making a tangible difference in people’s lives. I look forward to returning if given the opportunity. The grannies were so excited and sent their warm greetings to all of you. Through Jesus, they have found hope, peace, and comfort.
A heartfelt thank you to our beloved director, Mr. William Wegener, for recognizing the importance of helping this group. Thank you to our generous donors. But mostly thank you, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Shalom.
