Praise our living God, today JesusFedMe resumed the medical help to Ms. Nantongo Catherine, a known hypertensive patient who claims to be 100 years old and has produced 7 kids, but she lost 6 of them. This week she got terrible news 3 days ago that the remaining son had also died. She hates life because she never wanted her children to go before her; we found her in her room in an unconscious state. I prescribed and administered dextrose to her because I knew the unconsciousness resulted from hypoglycemia. She spent 3 days without eating after receiving the bad news of losing her remaining child. We are glad that she’s now talking and eating.
I counseled her on her loss and told her she still has Jesus even if all her children have gone. “God promised never to leave us as orphans.” JFM got her transportation to the hospital, and she’s currently admitted; we hope for a proper prognosis. We also bought her antihypertensives and a few basics. Thank you JesusFedMe. I will go back tomorrow to witness to this woman, as I feel she needed time before I did so.
UPDATE: Dr. William took Cahterine a bible and some food the next day. He testified and led her to the Lord. Later that day, she died and went to be with the Lord. She made a full confession of faith and gave her life to Jesus. We praise God for that miracle.
Catherine was on her way to the hospital, where she died.
William J. Wegener (Bill) is the founder and director of JesusFedMe.com, a ministry with a simple yet powerful mission: to feed the hungry, share the gospel of JESUS CHRIST, and transform lives in Uganda. Bill believes that meeting both physical and spiritual needs is the best way to reflect the love of GOD, and through JFM, countless lives have been touched.
Under his leadership, JesusFedMe.com has:
Delivered food daily to poor families and orphans. | Dug wells to provide clean water to villages. | Built homes and resource centers for struggling communities. |. Established the Miracle Medical Center (MMC) in Nakaseke District, providing medical care where none was available. |. Launched the CVTI Skilling Center, offering vocational training and hope for the future.
Bill’s heart for the poor flows from the words of JESUS in Matthew 25:35: “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.” He often says that every bag of rice delivered, every child clothed, and every prayer offered is a reminder that GOD’s love is real and practical.
None of this would be possible without faithful donors who give generously. Bill sees himself not just as a director, but as a steward—ensuring that every dollar makes a difference in feeding the hungry and leading souls to CHRIST. His vision is to see communities in Uganda transformed, both physically and spiritually, through the power of the gospel and the kindness of those who support the work.
