Most people would love to live with someone as living alone is often a risk of mental disorders, especially older people. Adults living alone are more likely to have common mental disorders, including anxiety and depression and the sole reason is often nothing more than loneliness. Unfortunately, the number of people living alone is steadily growing throughout Uganda. We understand many reasons, including the death of loved ones, divorce, and even poor living standards, force some to seek other places to live.
Mrs. Prosy is an older woman who lives alone in her house, and JFM came at a perfect time to deliver food to her. No one would wish such a person to lack anything; she needs some special treatment in her late years, and she deserves the welcomed attention.
Meeting her emotional needs is also essential. For example, we found her doing stone quarrying; despite being weak physically, she would force herself to carry a heavy burden.
JFM always meets such people with home necessities to feel loved, thus, preaching to them the good news of Jesus and giving them hope.
This says it all: “JFM always meets such people with home necessities to feel loved, thus, preaching to them the good news of Jesus and giving them hope.” Amen.
