Dr. William and his team have concluded that some of the blind children we have supported in the past would benefit significantly from wearing strong glasses. So, the adventure starts, working with the school for the blind.
Waking up in the early hours again to bring these children the Gospel of hope, faith, and resilience. JesusFedMe began assisting them about two years ago by providing mattresses and blankets, transforming their lives. Although they cannot see, they can speak and often say, “We want Jesus to bring us more mattresses.”
Today, we took a different approach by offering medical examinations, consultations, and physical check-ups. JesusFedMe fully supported this initiative, and we identified five children whose vision can be improved with glasses. Sadly, four children and one adult have complete vision loss, which cannot be corrected. Additionally, two children require eye drops.
In collaboration with our medical team, we also provided nourishment for the body and spiritual encouragement. JesusFedMe’s mission is to offer tangible hope to the less privileged through food and other essential gifts.
The ophthalmologist prepared the medical report, and JFM’s Dr. William and other medical colleagues assisted. It has been a life-changing day filled with prayer, sharing personal stories, and restoring hope.
Many children’s faces were familiar, as JesusFedMe has supported them for about two years. We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors for making this possible and, most importantly, to the Almighty for His provision.
We believe in securing the necessary glasses and eye drops for children with correctable refractive issues.
NOTE: Be looking for an update as we order the prescription glasses. Oh, what a blessing that will be. We praise God for the resources our WONDERFUL, LOVING DONORS provided that made this possible. Lives will be changed.
May God bless you all.
Signed:
Dr. William Kirembwe
