I’m pleased to write to you once again. I’m a minister with JFM, and for the past 3 years, I have volunteered in various programs. But this time, I personally own and run a farming system that processes Cassava and Potato for agroprocessing and value addition.
This farm began by renting a few acres in its initial stages, but its size has grown gradually over time. We keep on expanding the size, planting new crops season after season. Our land is located in a wetland with water running through the trenches year-round. This is an advantage to us, and it’s one of the factors that allows us to operate well.
Our flour is purely natural. The following activities take place at the farm to come up with such a product:
- Bush clearing
- Ploughing
- Planting the tubers
- Fertilizer application
- Weeding
- Pest control spraying
- Intense Supervision
- Harvesting
- Transporting to our store
- Peeling and chopping into simpler pieces
- Sun drying (5-7 days)
- Milling
- Packaging
After packaging, a product is ready for consumption, free of dirt and other impurities that could result from mishandling.
Our products include;
- Cassava Flour & Raw cassava
- Sweet potatoes
- Beans
Experts recommend Cassava Flour for immunity boosting and energy, since it’s rich in starch and protein, making it suitable for people JFM visits.
I saw the smiles of the people receiving food on the JFM website, and I was happy to see the great job JFM has done.
We’re committed to producing high-quality cassava flour. Our program hires different groups of people to do farm work, typically 5-10 people per week, who are paid after completing the assignments assigned to them.
We’re proud to be supplying JFM with our cassava flour. Previously, we were very much honored.
Testimony: Previously, JFM assisted us with a brand-new sewing machine while sealing the sacks, easing our packaging process. We’re grateful for this partnership and looking forward to producing as much as JFM demands.
Labour fees, milling fees, herbicides, and pesticides are costly but bearable, BUT,
Our biggest challenge is transportation. We transport food from the garden to the peeling and drying store, then to a milling place, and then back to the store. This hikes our production fees. We are praying for a solution on this, and we know God will pave a way.
Thank you, JFM. Thank you, our director. I appreciate the contract. Thank you so much, donors at JFM, for the great work you’re doing in people’s lives. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
