Greetings, beloved,
Yahaya Kikomeko, an 8-year-old boy from Butanza in the Katikamu North constituency of Luweero district, now stays with us at Mashariki Children’s Home. Before entering our care, he lived in a small rental home with his single mother and siblings. Due to difficult circumstances, his mother ended up in a relationship with their elderly landlord, who was over 70 years old, in exchange for free shelter. However, he did not provide for their other needs, leaving the family to struggle for essentials.
Yahaya’s mother would sometimes help with laundry at our children’s home, and one day, she shared their heartbreaking story. My wife had already felt a special calling toward Yahaya, so we welcomed him into Mashariki Children’s Home in 2022. He has faced challenges with stuttering and learning, but with our support, he’s steadily progressing in school. Though he was initially raised in a Muslim household, Yahaya has since joyfully accepted salvation.
His mother remains in a difficult situation, one she never intended. She feels trapped and unable to find a way out. We keep her in our prayers, asking GOD to guide her through.
Today, Yahaya is thriving with us, and we trust that his future is bright. Thank you to JesusFedMe and our dedicated director for enabling us to make such a difference. May GOD bless you abundantly.
Thank you, Jesus.
