Greetings beloved,
In addition to all the tremendous projects we shared on this platform, I want to show you more from our programs that you may not have seen yet. This is a short highlight from the too many things JFM is doing out here. This list is not conclusive, but it aims to throw more light on the subject.
These include;
- Giving out Bibles and gospel tracts, JFM has worked tirelessly on Bible distribution, especially to people who cannot afford to buy them in different communities in this country.
- Mission trips to Uganda;
Two or more staff from the JFM leadership committee in the United States visit Uganda at least once every year to encourage the team, monitor and evaluate the projects being done, and share verbally with some of the JFM beneficiaries, especially in those remote communities. These trips usually are not alarming but discreet. - Bed items handouts: JFM has bought many beds so far, including mattresses, blankets, and bedsheets, which we randomly distributed to poor people who sleep in mud houses around Uganda. That way, we’ve profoundly helped.
- Clothing handouts: JFM has donated several hundred pieces of clothing to different people in different communities around Uganda. This has, of course, changed lives; new clothing makes people look happier.
- Utility bills: These include water bills, electricity bills, and any other bills that arise at our premises where two, three, four, or more of our beneficiaries reside.
- Scholastic/Academic equipment: JFM buys books, pencils, pens, bags, sanitary equipment, geometry sets, shoes, handbags, socks, water bottles, and all other academic materials needed, especially for our students we pay for school. JFM has been the most excellent guardian to these souls.
- Church events: Occasionally, in our partner churches, when there’s a major event that requires food or other support, we’ve always stood together, especially regarding food. In this program alone, we’ve given out tons and tons of grain and meat to multitudes gathering to worship the Lord.
- Wheelchairs and crutches for people with disabilities: JFM has bought a pair of crutches or a wheelchair for every person with a disability that we’ve identified as deeply needing. There was no one time we identified such a need and didn’t help out.
- Creation of Employment Opportunities: When we are building houses, our medical center, and our school, we give these contracts to young men and women who seek work. So, this has been one way of reaching out to them.
- Photography mentoring: Our director has mentored a certain group of ministers in professional photography, creating new experts here. We can’t thank you enough.
- Registration for new entities: With JFM, every official project we run, be it a children’s home or any other project under construction, is fully registered, licensed, and well-documented. This sometimes costs a lot of money to do right.
- Rent fees for some stuff and several other individuals: For some good years now, JFM has consistently been able to pay rent for some of our crew boys and also for so many other people that we are helping to walk through their life journey, some elderly, some disabled, and some unable to find a job. We are greatly grateful to be doing this.
- Motor vehicle maintenance and fueling: At JFM, normally, if we are to send support to the community, especially food deliveries or any other equipment, we fuel our motor vehicles and pay for their maintenance, of course, to keep them in good condition. This has also greatly eased our work.
- Driving licenses for the entire JFM team: For now, every person on the JFM crew is a licensed driver. JFM has been involved in this venture. It costs a bit, but we are happy to walk legally.
- Random university fees grants: JFM has been paying several university students for their programs; some graduated, and others are still ongoing. JFM has identified kids who need this support to fulfill their dreams and improve their living standards.
- One-time vocational training college fees grants: JFM has always identified and funded one-time school fees for persons who must undergo vocational training to learn a skill.
- Distribution of children’s toys and random snacks: JFM has distributed an estimated thousands of toys to kids in Uganda, putting a smile on each face. Recently, we had an entire suitcase brought to us by plane. This has highly made kids so glad.
- Establishment of projects that will last forever: JFM has done projects that aim not only at rendering interventions to the current challenges but also to last forever for the coming generations, for example, our school, those dwelling homes, and our medical center.
