The kind of people JFM feeds are the most vulnerable in society—those who live, but not in the way an average person should live. Their lives are marked by daily struggles for survival, with very little to call their own. Many of them live in houses without proper shelter, often sleeping on bare ground or worn mats. For them, life is about surviving the day and hoping for a better tomorrow. Their condition shows a stark difference between simply existing and living a life with dignity.
When it comes to food, they eat, but not the way an average person should eat. A typical meal for them often consists of just a handful of maize, poorly prepared vegetables, or even nothing at all. When JFM brings food, it is usually the first decent meal they have tasted in days. For the children, their joy is seen in their eagerness to run with plates, knowing that a miracle has come their way. For the elderly, it is a moment of relief, because their tired bodies long for nourishment that is hard to come by on their own.
The challenge, however, is that whatever they receive is consumed quickly. The hunger in their households is deep, and the needs are constant. Once a meal is served and eaten, another cry arises almost immediately—be it for the next meal, clothing, or medicine. This cycle of need shows the depth of poverty they endure. But despite the quick consumption, the meals JFM provides are never in vain; each plate of food is a reminder that God still cares for them.
With the vision of JFM, we aimed to provide every person with a meal, and indeed, we achieved this. Feeding these precious souls is more than just giving food—it is giving hope, dignity, and the love of Christ. Each meal shared opens the door for the gospel, showing them that Jesus not only saves the soul but also cares for the body. In every outreach, JFM continues to prove that the kindness of God can be felt through the simple act of feeding the hungry.
Donors, your generosity makes everything we do possible. Because of you, lives are being changed, and together we are showing the love of GOD.
