Greetings beloved,
ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN
Now that we have a children’s home and many kids under our care, you might want to know the criteria we follow when admitting a kid into our home. The admission criteria are as follows;
As I said in one of the posts, being an orphan can make one vulnerable in society, and being vulnerable renders you liable to special care and, hence, needy. Therefore, not all the orphans that are under our care lose their parents, but then they have issues that are equivalent to losing their parents. The admission criteria are as follows;
1). When a child is HIV positive or chronically ill.
2). When a child is living on the street
3). When a child is having a hearing or visual disability
4). Physical disability
5). Has albinism
6). Has a mental disability
7). Learning disability
8). Is of school age but not in school
9). Marginalized, stigmatized, or discriminated
10). Involved in child labor
11). Involved in risky environments such as sex work or selling drugs
12). Engages in substance abuse or alcohol
13). Child in conflict with the law
14). Parents in prison
15). Young but pregnant
16). A child who has given birth
17). A child whose parents are children
18). A child who has been married early.
19). Has been sexually abused.
20). Neglected
21). Experienced trauma from Involvement in natural disasters
22). Experienced trauma from Involvement in war, riots or violence
23). Living in an impoverished household
24). Lost both parents
25). living in a residential institution without family care
26). Living in a correctional institution
Now, as you can see, many issues will prompt us to consider admitting a kid into our program: Different problems, different settings. WE CHOOSE WHO WE THINK NEEDS US MORE.
Thank you so much, our dear beloved donors, the JFM team.
Thank you so much. May the Lord bless and reward you abundantly.
