When JesusFedMe (JFM) began, it was with nothing more than $20, a seed that could only feed one family and cover a little transportation. Yet, even in that small beginning, the Lord showed His faithfulness. Just as the five loaves and two fishes fed thousands, God used that little to open doors for greater impact. That first step of faith was not about the amount of money, but about obedience to His call—to feed the hungry and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, we look back and see how far God has carried us from that humble beginning.
From the very start, our ministry’s heart has been to live as at least “half of Jesus”—to reflect His compassion, mercy, and love through our actions. We know we cannot match His perfection, but we seek to serve His people faithfully. If our journey ended today, our only regret would be not fully finishing the assignment entrusted to us. Yet, with joy, we testify that hundreds have heard the gospel through JFM, and many hungry families have been fed. This gives us peace, knowing that God has used us as His hands and feet.
Over the years, God has continued to upgrade and expand the work far beyond what we imagined. What began with food distribution has grown into much more. We now have a hospital to care for the sick, a church to strengthen souls, and an orphanage where children without parents find love and belonging. Each step forward is a testimony of God’s provision and faithfulness, not our own strength. Where man sees impossibility, God sees a beginning.
And still, the journey continues. Today, we are building a school—a place where children will not only receive education but also be nurtured in the ways of the Lord. This is proof that when God starts a work, He is faithful to bring it to completion. JFM is a living testimony that little is much when God is in it. We started with $20, but now we stand as witnesses of His abundant grace. To Him alone belongs all the glory, honor, and praise forever.

Love this article. Great job Matthew! So wonderful to see Gods faithfulness with our little. He is abundant in our lack! To God be the Glory!!
What else should we say a part from thank you Lord, I could use £20 to buy some food and sauce , then get a boda boda to carry me where the needy are. Now every week we feed a whole community.
