In the remote village of Nkuluze, a modest, grass-thatched mud house stood on the brink of collapse. This humble dwelling is home to Maama Kuteesa, a resilient 38-year-old woman, and her eight children. The family’s daily struggle for survival was evident in every aspect. The walls of their home, barely held together, seemed to echo their despair and uncertainty.
Maama Kuteesa’s life took a harsh turn when her husband abandoned the family for another woman who lived nearby. The abandonment left her heartbroken, and the weight of providing for her children rested solely on her weary shoulders. The village’s poverty-stricken environment offered little solace, and each day was a battle to find enough food to feed her hungry children.
Amid this turmoil, JFM delivered food and shared the gospel with them. JFM had heard of Momma Kuteesa’s plight and knew they had to act swiftly to help this struggling family. When we arrived at her doorstep, they saw a woman teetering on the edge of despair yet clinging to her faith and love for her children.
JFM brought food, ensuring that Maama Kuteesa and her children would not go to bed hungry that night. The children’s eyes widened with wonder and gratitude as they watched JFM unload the much-needed provisions. For the first time in a long while, there was a sense of relief and hope in the air.
