In the humble surroundings of Kawagalo village, young Kajubi quietly sat under a table, his hidden disability unknown to me at first glance. With infectious joy shining through his eyes, he serenaded us with two heartfelt songs, his devotion to God evident in every note. His mother’s face lit up with excitement at the unexpected visit of a gospel preacher to their home. Despite the evident pain from the wounds on his feet caused by his method of movement, Kajubi’s spirit remained unbroken as he graciously acknowledged our care and compassion towards him.
Again after our visit to Bwetyaba village, a remarkable transformation occurred in the life of a man named Kiddu Joseph. While at home , Kiddu found himself engaged in the simple task of fixing something, surrounded by the tranquility of his rural setting. As he worked, he noticed the chickens settling down to sleep, their rhythmic movements seemingly in tune with the peaceful atmosphere around him.
In that quiet moment, something profound stirred within Kiddu’s heart. Perhaps it was the residual impact of our visit, the words spoken, or the love and sincerity demonstrated by JFM. Whatever the catalyst, Kiddu felt a profound awakening deep within his soul. Suddenly, the mundane task of fixing whatever needed repair became a divine appointment, a moment of reckoning with his own spiritual condition.
In the stillness of that afternoon, Kiddu Joseph experienced a spiritual awakening, a moment of realization that transcended the physical realm. He recognized the need for salvation, for a transformation of the heart. With newfound clarity and conviction, Kiddu surrendered his life to the saving grace of Jesus Christ, embracing a newfound faith that would guide him on a journey of spiritual growth and fulfillment.
