LOVING THE POOR with Rice, clothes, books
During JesusFedMe.com’s second visit to the northern region, we once again met with heartbreaking scenes of suffering. The dry season has been unforgiving, and the land offers little to no harvest. The people in the north are starving, many going for days without a decent meal. Hunger has taken a heavy toll, especially on the children and elderly. In this time of great need, it should be noted that no one has ever shown these people such favor and care—until now.
Children roam the dusty paths barefoot and naked, their tiny bodies exposed to the harsh weather. Families live in makeshift huts, barely holding together, with nothing but hope keeping them going. Yet, in the midst of their desperation, the love of Christ reached them through the hands and feet of JFM. By God’s grace and the kindness of donors, JFM was able to provide over 200 children with brand-new clothes. The smiles on their faces were unforgettable as they dressed in dignity, many for the first time.
Along with clothing, food was shared with the hungry. Plates of warm, nourishing meals were handed out to families who had not seen proper food in days. Mothers wept with gratitude, thanking God for remembering them through JFM. It was more than a meal; it was a reminder that they are not forgotten—that Jesus sees their pain and sends help in their time of need.
Thanks to our faithful donors, a very big difference was made during this second visit. Lives were changed, and hope was restored. Many who had given up began to believe again. They saw the love of Jesus not only preached but demonstrated in action. The Gospel was shared with hearts wide open, and many surrendered their lives to Christ, becoming born again with joy and tears.
JFM continues to bring light to the darkest places, not just with food and clothes but with the saving message of Jesus Christ. As long as the Lord provides through His people, we will go back again and again. The North may have been forgotten by many, but not by God—and now, not by us. We are grateful to every donor who stood with us. Together, we are bringing hope where there was none, and changing lives for eternity.
