Magdalene, a 62-year-old woman who appeared much older due to the harsh conditions of her life, resides in Bbaale village. Despite her age, she exudes resilience in the face of adversity. Four years ago, she was forcibly evicted from her land, adding to her already burdensome existence. Seated on the veranda of her modest dwelling, tears streamed down her weathered face as she recounted her hardships. Tragically, she lost her son to HIV/AIDS, leaving her to care for six children alone.
Living in abject poverty, Mangadelene’s existence is marked by helplessness and despair. Yet, amidst her struggles, JFM’s provision of food breathed hope into her otherwise bleak life. We are grateful to the donors whose generosity has brought light into the darkness of her circumstances.
Mangadelene was surprised by a young man who pitied her in a world often characterized by wicked people. “I never knew that in this world there exist loving people like you,” Said Mangandelene.
