Phinah is a beautiful young girl with a smile that speaks louder than words. Though her life has known many hardships, her eyes still carry a quiet hope, a hope rooted only in Jesus. Day after day, she endures challenges that no child should face, yet she holds on with faith that God sees her and has not forgotten her.
For much of this year, Phinah had little reason to smile. Hunger, lack, and uncertainty surrounded her home, pressing heavily on her young heart. But amid that struggle, her trust remained in Christ alone. She believed that help would come, not because of her strength, but because of God’s mercy.
That moment finally came when JFM visited her family. When she received food, clothes, and other necessities, something beautiful happened—Phinah smiled genuinely. It was the first genuine smile she had shown all year, a smile born from relief, love, and the realization that someone cared. In that moment, her joy reflected the love of Jesus reaching her through helping hands.
Her family was also incredibly blessed. They received enough food to last them until Christmas, lifting a heavy burden from their hearts. Along with the supplies, they were given a small extra support of 20,000 UGX, which brought hope and dignity to their home during a very difficult season.
Phinah’s story is a reminder of why this mission matters. One act of kindness, done in the name of Jesus, can restore hope and bring a smile that has been missing for a long time. Through JFM, Christ’s love became visible, and for Phinah, that love turned pain into joy and despair into renewed faith.
