Isunga Village, located in Kiryandongo District in northern Uganda, is characterized by deep poverty and hardship. The people struggle daily to survive, yet they continue to bring many children into the world despite the difficult conditions. Hunger is a constant challenge because the land is not fertile enough for successful farming. Without proper means to grow food, families often go without meals, leading to malnutrition, especially among children. The needs in this village are overwhelming, but so is the resilience of its people.
One of the most heartbreaking realities in Isunga is the lack of clean water. People and animals rely on the same water ponds for drinking and cooking, exposing them to diseases and infections. With no schools in the area, children grow up without education, and without medical clinics, people depend entirely on local herbal medicine for treatment. The absence of basic health care leaves them vulnerable to sicknesses that could otherwise be easily treated. The situation is dire, yet hope still finds a way to shine through.
JesusFedMe (JFM) was led by God to reach this village with both physical and spiritual nourishment. Through the generosity of donors, JFM provided food to the hungry, ensuring that many families who had gone days without a proper meal could finally eat. The Word of God was also shared, encouraging and saving many souls. In a place where hardship is the norm, the gospel of Jesus Christ provided the people of Isunga with the greatest hope—eternal life in Him.
Children, many of whom had never owned proper clothing, were clothed through the support of JFM. The joy on their faces was a testament to the impact of this ministry. The love of Christ was demonstrated in words and action, as families felt the tangible presence of God’s care through the kindness of those who gave. In a place forgotten by many, JFM was able to remind these souls that God did not ignore them.
We give all the glory to God for leading JFM to Isunga and allowing us to touch so many lives. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the donors who continuously sacrifice to make this mission possible. Your generosity has brought light to a place of darkness, hope to the hopeless, and joy to those who had lost it. Because of your giving, lives were changed, souls were blessed, and the love of Jesus Christ was made known. May God continue to bless all who make this work possible.
