mothers day
JesusFedMe (JFM) has become a lifeline for many poor mothers in Uganda who struggle daily to provide for their children. In many communities, mothers are left to carry the full burden of raising their families after being abandoned by the fathers of their children. These women often face overwhelming challenges: no income, no support, and the constant cry of hungry children. JFM steps into this desperate situation with compassion and practical help, providing daily food assistance and the hope of the gospel. Through this ministry, these mothers are not only fed, but they are also reminded that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.
Many of the women JFM serves live in humble homes made of mud or tin, with no regular source of food. JFM teams go out into the villages and slums, delivering meals and praying with each mother. It is in these moments—often around a shared plate of food—that the message of Jesus’ love is shared. These mothers are encouraged to trust in Christ, knowing that He will never leave them or forsake them. As they open their hearts to the Lord, many of them become born again, and they begin to experience not just physical nourishment, but spiritual renewal as well.
What makes JFM’s work especially powerful is its recognition and celebration of the strength of these mothers. In a culture where abandoned women can be shamed or ignored, JFM honors them. The ministry tells them, “You are not forgotten. You are doing the most important work by caring for your children.” JFM uplifts their dignity and gives them a reason to smile again. By standing beside these mothers, the ministry reflects the heart of God who cares deeply for the vulnerable and the brokenhearted.
As JFM continues its mission, the impact is undeniable. Children who were once malnourished are now growing stronger. Mothers who had lost all hope are now singing praises and leading others to Christ. Through food, prayer, and the gospel, JesusFedMe.com is changing lives—one mother, one child, and one home at a time. These women, once abandoned by men, are now embraced by a ministry that celebrates their resilience and introduces them to a Savior who will never abandon them. Would you consider praying for and supporting this vital work?
