Greetings beloved,
In this short column, I will take you through some of the significant ways JesusFedMe has supported vulnerable groups in the remote communities of Uganda;
(1) Spiritual support
Through our designed Evangel programs, we aim to uphold the individual’s spirit as an intellect, which is now displayed via the gospel tracts, the door-to-door dialogues, the extension of the partner churches, and, of course, the love and care that extends the love of Jesus to these groups under our care. I highly believe this is one way that has greatly benefited this Nation.
(2)Food & Nutrition
Thousands of Ugandans in different regions have benefited from the JFM food program, which has been running for three years. Random people, church groups, and mostly the Mashariki Children’s Home, which has kids under care 24/7, have benefited from this program. They’ve never slept on an empty stomach—a keynote to thank JFM.
(3)Emotional support
Most people under our care are victims of child abuse, gender-based violence, Victims of War, Broken families, HIV/AIDS orphans, and people living in extreme poverty. Providing emotional support has always been crucial so our beneficiaries feel much safer, happier, and loved by us than before.
(4)Medical
The health care program initiated by the JFM director after receiving several reports that required intervention prompted JFM to come up with a fund that aims at helping people who are struggling with life-threatening severe conditions but living in extreme poverty. I have seen several surgical procedures paid for by JFM; I have witnessed JFM buying wheelchairs, specific illness support drugs, several other surgeries, and several other random medical bills paid.
Parental support
For example, in the Mashariki Children’s Home or our other camps elsewhere, several kids sleeping over, eating, and many more coming in for support of different kinds have provided room for the kids to feel loved, cared for, and happy. This isn’t explicitly helping a single kid but sustaining an entire generation. Someone great must come out of our efforts. God is grateful to see this being done.
(6)Housing & other infrastructure construction
JFM has built several houses, many of which were set aside for people living in extreme poverty without hopes of having such a suitable dwelling place. JFM has also built several pit latrines, every house with a latrine, well roofed, with doors and windows, everything done to ensure these people feel the love of Jesus right with them.
(7)Education
Considering the Mashariki Children’s Home, for example, JFM has been paying their school fees thrice quarterly for some time now. So many other kids are paid by JFM to go to school elsewhere, most of them paid for discreetly. This has put considerable support onto this Nation.
(8)Water and sanitation
For example, the previous Borehole (Water Well) dug at the grounds of Amazing Grace Church helped an entire community without exception, not even religious discrimination; everyone is entitled to free water from this well. This is a step ahead in saving this community from water-borne diseases and other circumstances that can arise from using dirty water.
Many things have been done; I can’t mention them all.
Thank you so much, JFM.
