Sarah is a 25-year-old woman who has been battling cerebral palsy since the age of six. For 19 years, she has been bedridden, and her condition has led to other disorders and pressure sores all over her body.
Sarah and her family live in the Buyoga village of the Bukomansimbi district, Kabaale subcounty. Their home is 80 km south of the equator and 230 km from Kampala, branching off from Kyabakuza-Masaka.
During our evangelism missions, we encountered many people facing hardships, but Sarah’s situation deeply moved us, compelling us to offer our help. I want to thank Sarah’s mother for her unwavering support over the years. Caring for someone who cannot communicate their basic needs is incredibly challenging. Sarah’s mother lost her job and moved to a remote village, where she now practices subsistence farming to provide for them.
Despite the difficulties, Sarah and her mother remain firm in their faith. They sleep on a worn-out mattress and cover themselves with a tattered bedsheet, securing their wooden door with a stick. Their resilience and love for Jesus are genuinely inspiring.
I am truly grateful to the wonderful donor Robyn, who made it possible to provide a wheelchair for Sarah. You may not realize how essential a wheelchair is until you see it become someone’s legs. Sarah’s family sends their love and blessings to you. The family was deeply touched and grateful for this gift.
I hope to revisit them if given the chance. Thank you, JesusFedMe, for making this possible, and thank you, Jesus. Thank you to our director; may the Lord bless you abundantly forever and ever. Amen!
