In the village of Buwambo, a young boy named Bill was only eight years old. Bill lived a solitary life because he had a large, noticeable wound on the back of his head, which had not been healed medically. This wound made the other children avoid him. They wouldn’t play or talk with him because they feared his appearance.
Bill spent his days feeling lonely and sad. Often, he would sit beneath a tree, watching the other children play in the fields. His heart longed for friendship, but no one would come near him.
Then, one day, JesusFedMe came to the village. We are servants of the Lord, bringing food to the hungry, sharing the gospel, and praying with the people. Our mission is to show the love of Jesus to everyone and guide them to the Lord.
When we saw Bill, we were filled with compassion. We looked beyond his wound and saw a lonely soul. We approached him, and Bill, who was used to being rejected, was surprised that someone would come to him.
I spoke to Bill, saying, “Do not be afraid, young one, for we are here to share the love of Jesus with you. Do you know that Jesus loves you and sees your heart?” Bill’s eyes filled with tears because no one had ever spoken such kind words to him before.
Bill is the little one trying to smile. He has a significant swelling in the back of his head; we are not showing the picture of it out of respect for the boy.
