JFM is once again demonstrating that love in action changes lives. We are currently constructing a temporary muddy house for a single mother of nine children, whose story we shared not long ago. This dear lady had faced one of life’s cruelest blows when she was evicted from her grass-thatched home just days after JFM had blessed her with mattresses and blankets. What was meant to be a moment of comfort quickly turned into persecution after a blessing. Yet even in her darkest hour, God was at work preparing a miracle for her and her children.
By God’s grace, this courageous mother managed to purchase 25 decimals of land — a place where she could finally dream of stability. It is on this land that JFM is now building her a temporary house, one that will become a permanent home for her and her nine children. No longer will she and her little ones have to wonder where they will lay their heads at night. This home is more than just walls and a roof; it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and the compassion He has placed in the hearts of His people.
When JFM shared the good news with her, her face lit up with joy and hope. With a smile that could warm even the coldest heart, she said, “I am happy that I am going to have a place called home. God is good; He doesn’t forget the poor. I can’t wait to sleep in that house.” Her words were more than a reaction — they were a heartfelt praise to the Lord who lifts the lowly and defends the oppressed. In that moment, her gratitude reminded us all why we serve.
Meanwhile, the work is progressing steadily. Step by step, brick by brick, and beam by beam, the structure is taking shape. The sound of hammers and the laughter of neighbors passing by fill the air. Each stroke of labor is a stroke of love, and the home slowly transforms from an idea into a reality. For this mother, every sight and sound is a reminder that God has not abandoned her — He is building her life anew.
Soon, she will have more than shelter; she will have a place where her children can sleep peacefully, grow in safety, and dream without fear. JFM is humbled to be a vessel in this work, but all glory belongs to the Lord who provides and sustains. What began as a season of hardship is turning into a season of restoration, and in the near future, her new home will stand as a beacon of hope for all who see it, testifying that God truly never forgets the poor.

The work started with digging of walls
