These kids are likely to sleep outside
It’s a heartbreaking situation unfolding for a poor mother of 11 children, who had just received a beautiful blessing. After living in deep poverty for years, she was recently visited by the JesusFedMe.com (JFM) team, who saw her suffering and stepped in with compassion. The team brought her and her children new mattresses, warm blankets, and enough food to last them many days. For the first time in a long time, her children were able to sleep in comfort, with full bellies and smiles on their faces. It was a clear demonstration of God’s love and provision for His people.
However, the joy was short-lived. The man who owns the land where the mother and her children have been staying has now demanded that they leave. He claims that since they have received such blessings from the ministry, they are now “rich” and should be able to find their own land elsewhere. This deeply saddening response shows how quickly generosity can be misunderstood, and how a heart not touched by compassion can turn away from those in need.
This mother’s situation is not just a story about poverty—it is about rejection and the struggles the poor face even when help finally comes their way. It is painful to see that instead of being supported and uplifted after receiving help, she is now being cast out. Her only “crime” is that someone noticed her suffering and decided to bless her with love and care. Now, instead of celebrating her breakthrough, she is facing yet another crisis: the threat of losing the only shelter she and her children had.
At JesusFedMe, we believe every person deserves dignity, and no blessing should be punished. We are praying for this family, and we ask for others to join us in seeking God’s intervention. We trust that the same God who provided mattresses and food will also provide a place for this family to live. He is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of widows. We will continue to stand with this mother and her children, believing that what man meant for evil, God will turn for good.
