In a quiet and humble locality of Ogwal, JesusFedM (JFM) came across 25 people — 21 women and four men — many who had never heard the name of Jesus before. Each of them was deeply immersed in their daily struggles, doing whatever they could to survive. Some were ploughing their gardens under the hot sun, others were busy weeding small patches of land. A few women sat under trees crafting local brooms for sale, trying to earn anything to feed their families. Life in this place seemed far removed from hope, but God had His plan.
It was not easy to interrupt people who were so focused on the work that put food on their tables. But when the Lord gives you a message, you go with it in boldness and love. God began gathering the people — slowly, one by one, they left what they were doing, curiosity pulling them in. Eventually, the 25 stood and sat together, some with babies on their backs, others wiping sweat from their foreheads. Their faces showed a mixture of exhaustion and deep hunger—not just for food, but for something greater, something eternal.
Standing before them, I shared the good news of Jesus Christ — the Savior who died for their sins, who rose again, and who offers peace, forgiveness, and eternal life to all who believe. I told them that Jesus sees every tear, every struggle, and every silent cry of their hearts. Many listened intently, hearing His name for the very first time in their lives. It was a holy moment, like a dry land receiving rain. God’s Spirit moved among them, convicting hearts and opening ears.
By the end of the message, seven souls said yes to Jesus — seven precious lives written into the Lamb’s Book of Life. Among them were mothers, fathers, and even young adults, now beginning a new journey of faith. JFM rejoiced, and we prayed with them, encouraging them to continue seeking Jesus daily. Though they may have started their day trying to make a living, they ended it having found eternal life. What a joy to witness God’s grace at work — even in the forgotten corners of Uganda, Jesus is still saving the lost.
