In Luyobyo village, a tragic situation has been unfolding for a group of children who have been struggling with deep pain and resentment towards their father. After the loss of their beloved mother in February of this year, everything changed in their home. Their father, overwhelmed by his grief and perhaps other pressures, became distant and uncaring toward his children.
The children shared how their father attempted to send them away from the family home as he expressed a desire to remarry and seemingly move on from his past life. To make matters worse, they accuse him of trying to sell the house multiple times, which would leave them homeless and without any security. The sense of abandonment and betrayal by the one they should rely on the most has left them hurt and confused.
However, JesusFedMe (JFM) stepped in amid this turmoil to bring comfort and hope. JFM provided food for the children, addressing their immediate physical needs, but they also did more. JFM gathered with the children to pray, asking God to touch their father’s heart and soften it toward his children. Through prayer and compassion, we sought to heal the broken family and remind the children that God’s love never fails, even in the most challenging times.
JFM believes that God’s grace can bring restoration, and they continue supporting the children with practical help and spiritual encouragement. The ministry prays for the father to realize his responsibility to his children, that his heart may be transformed, and that he will choose love, care, and protection for his family.
