Sowing In The Right Soil

There is a season for sowing and a season for reaping. At JesusFedMe (JFM), we believe that every act of love, every meal shared, every prayer offered, and every life touched is a seed planted in fertile soil. When you sow into the work of JFM, you are not simply giving resources—you are helping plant seeds of hope, dignity, and faith in the lives of people who desperately need to know that someone cares.

Africa has many people living in deep poverty, but JFM believes in going beyond what the eyes can easily see. We go into communities and look for people who are genuinely struggling—families without enough food, elderly people living alone, children facing difficult circumstances, and households that have very little to depend on. We do our best to reach those whose needs are real and whose voices are often unheard.

Sometimes, the greatest need is found far away from the places that receive the most attention. There are families living in humble homes, children going without basic necessities, and elderly people struggling simply to make it through another day. JFM seeks to meet these people where they are, bringing food, practical help, prayer, encouragement, and above all, the message of Jesus Christ.

When we arrive with food, we are carrying more than a package. We are carrying a message: you are not forgotten. A meal can fill an empty stomach, but love can touch a wounded heart. A prayer can bring encouragement to someone who has lost hope. And the Gospel can introduce someone to the One who can transform a life forever.

The beauty of JFM is that the blessing does not end with the person receiving the food. A seed of kindness can travel much farther than we imagine. A child who experiences compassion may grow up knowing that love is possible. A family that receives help may regain hope. Someone who hears the Gospel may surrender their life to Christ and eventually become a blessing to others.

We also understand that we are only stewards. The resources that come into JFM are entrusted to us, and we have a responsibility to use them carefully and faithfully. Our desire is to take what God provides and put it into the hands of people who truly need it. We do not want the glory for ourselves. We want every blessing to point back to the One who made it possible.

The Bible says, “He which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” — 2 Corinthians 9:6 (KJV). Every donor who gives toward this work is participating in the sowing. You may never meet the family who receives your gift. You may never know the name of the child who eats because you gave. But God sees every seed that is planted in love. At JFM, we have seen that sometimes the greatest blessing is simply being present. There are moments when food may not be enough for everyone, yet we can still sit with people, speak to them with love, pray with them, and remind them that their lives matter. We believe ministry is not only about what we put into someone's hands, but also about what we put into their hearts.

And above everything we do, Jesus takes the glory. JFM is only an instrument. The food comes through provision, the strength to serve comes from God, and every changed heart belongs to Him. When someone smiles after receiving help, we thank Jesus. When a family finds hope, we thank Jesus. When someone hears the Gospel and chooses to follow Christ, we give Jesus all the glory.

So let us continue sowing into fertile soil. Let us continue finding the forgotten, feeding the hungry, encouraging the hopeless, praying with families, and sharing the Good News. We may plant the seed, and we may water it, but God is the One who gives the increase. “So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” — 1 Corinthians 3:7 (KJV). May every seed sown through JFM become a testimony of God's love, and may Jesus receive all the glory.
