Trapped in Poverty

Juvenile detention cases in Uganda have risen recently. Contributing factors include poor access to education, inadequate healthcare, and food insecurity. Many children turn to petty crimes for survival, leading to more encounters with the justice system. Lack of educational opportunities and insufficient healthcare keep them trapped in poverty and crime.

JFM is working to address these issues. By delivering food daily to impoverished families, JFM reduces hunger, a key driver of juvenile crime. Ensuring children have meals lowers the pressure to engage in illegal activities and brings stability and hope.

JFM also shares the gospel, preaching love and compassion, which provides a sense of community and moral guidance among the youth. Accepting Jesus and His teachings helps children choose positive paths, reducing juvenile delinquency and creating a supportive environment for Uganda's youth.
