Greetings beloved,
Travis Buteera is ten years old and in primary school. He joined the Mashariki Children’s Home in September 2022. He was living with his single mother and his little siblings in a rundown mud house where their mother cared for them; they ate once a day, only at night and at times not at all, slept on the floor, and covered themselves with one torn bed sheet. His mother worked on a Poultry farm where she couldn’t earn enough to support her children. When I met Travis, I was incredibly touched and brought him to stay at the children’s home.
Travis loves football and cycling, and he dances in the children’s choir at our church. He’s a good academic performer, and his transcripts are incredibly unique. His life is rapidly transforming.
Travis goes to his Grandmother in northern Uganda during holidays, where he enjoys nomadic pastoralism and hunting.
Travis has been able to go to school with us under the aid of JFM, and this semester, he will be promoted to higher grades. He is growing up into a good boy, and we expect a lot from him. We put him unto the Lord for more great things to come into his life.
I thank JFM for partnering with us and extending our hand this far. More importantly, I thank Jesus for such a blessing. May the Lord bless JFM’s donors abundantly. Shalom!
