Most Ugandans are Vulnerable to Falling Back into Poverty

Research shows that most Ugandans are at risk of going back to poverty and suffering. Although the report indicates that most households are moving into poverty, a significant proportion of the poor has remained chronically poor depending on circumstances.

It has been for several years for many Ugandans facing dire challenges. JFM chose Uganda because most Ugandans are below the poverty line. This means they can't afford two meals a day.

Covid 19 made it worse, where poor people increased from 18.7 percent to 21.91, while 16.99 are insecure and struggling with multiple forms of poverty. Poverty doesn't only affect them to have food, but children of people experiencing poverty do not attend school for education. So the poor doesn't mean only the income, people with low incomes in all forms.
