JFM Suprised 76 Old Year Lame Man

Brothers and sisters, life can be hard, but it becomes even harder when you are old and living with a physical disability. At 76 years of age, Emmanuel knows this reality all too well. Each day comes with its own struggles, and simple movements that many of us take for granted can become difficult and exhausting. Emmanuel is lame and struggles to move from one place to another. He depends on a simple, locally made walking stick to support himself as he moves. His walking stick may look ordinary, but to him it is an important support that helps him face each day and keep moving despite the difficulties surrounding him.

When you look at Emmanuel's life, you cannot help but ask, where would such people find help if organizations like JesusFedMe were not there to reach out to them? Many elderly and vulnerable people live quietly with their struggles, often without the strength, resources, or support needed to change their situation.

Today, however, Emmanuel did not have to face his struggles alone. We came to him with love, food, and a simple message of hope. We wanted him to know that his circumstances have not made him forgotten. There are people who care about him, and more importantly, God has not forgotten him.

The smile on Emmanuel's face was priceless. At 76, after walking through so many difficult seasons of life, today someone came and showed him that he is important and that his life matters. Sometimes a small act of kindness can speak louder than many words.

We were reminded that caring for vulnerable people is not only about what we put into their hands; it is also about what we put into their hearts. Emmanuel needed more than food. He needed to know that somebody cared enough to come and stand with him in his difficult season.
